Our team combines sports medicine, performance therapy, and injury rehabilitation to help active adults move better, recover faster, and stay resilient long term. Whether you're rebuilding after an injury, chasing a new performance goal, or simply trying to stay active without pain, we’re here to guide the process with clarity and purpose.

Elite Care Starts With The Right Team
Dr. Jarryd Leung, DC, MS, CCSP
Sports Medicine Chiropractor | Founder, CAN-AM Sports Medicine

Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Dr. Jarryd Leung grew up immersed in competitive athletics. He spent four years playing junior hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League for the Powell River Kings and Prince George Spruce Kings before earning a hockey scholarship to continue his education at Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario.

While completing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, Jarryd served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the university’s men’s hockey team and conducted research for his undergraduate thesis. His work was later published in the European Journal of Applied Physiology, reflecting his early interest in the science behind human performance.

Like many athletes, Jarryd’s career was shaped by injuries and the long process of recovery. Those experiences sparked his interest in sports medicine and ultimately led him to pursue chiropractic and performance-based rehabilitation.
He later attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic, a Master of Science in Sports Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. Jarryd also became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®), gaining extensive experience working with athletes and active individuals.

At CAN-AM Sports Medicine, Dr. Jarryd focuses on helping people rebuild movement, restore strength, and return confidently to the activities they love. His approach blends sports chiropractic, manual therapy, and movement-based rehabilitation into individualized care plans designed around each client’s goals.

Every appointment at CAN-AM is conducted one-on-one for a full hour. This allows Jarryd to fully evaluate movement patterns, address the root cause of pain, and build structured programs that create meaningful, lasting progress.
Outside the clinic, you’ll often find him on the golf course, back on the ice playing hockey, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying time with his wife Rachel and their dog Jasper.

Dr. Isaias Zerufael, DC, MS
Sports Medicine Chiropractor

Dr. Isaias Zerufael brings a strong background in athletics, rehabilitation, and performance-focused care to the CAN-AM team.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Isaias played collegiate baseball at Concordia University. His experience as an athlete helped shape his interest in sports medicine and the process of helping active individuals recover, train, and perform at their highest level.

He went on to earn both his Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Sports Medicine degrees from the University of Western States, where he developed a strong foundation in injury rehabilitation, movement science, and performance-based care.

Dr. Isaias is trained in Active Release Techniques (ART) and specializes in combining hands-on treatment with functional rehabilitation strategies that help patients rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence in their movement.
At CAN-AM Sports Medicine, he works with athletes and active adults who want more than short-term symptom relief. His care focuses on identifying the mechanical and movement-based factors behind pain and guiding patients through structured progressions that restore long-term performance and durability.

Outside the clinic, Isaias enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, skiing, and exploring new places.

A Team Built for People Who Refuse to Stop Moving
Pain and injury can make it feel like your body is working against you. Workouts become frustrating. Activities you enjoy start to feel uncertain. Even everyday movement can feel limited.

At CAN-AM Sports Medicine, our team is focused on changing that experience.

By combining sports chiropractic care, movement-based rehabilitation, and performance therapy, we help people rebuild how their bodies move and function. The goal is not just short-term relief, but long-term durability, confidence, and performance.

Many of the people we work with are runners, golfers, lifters, cyclists, or active professionals who simply want to stay healthy and capable as they continue doing the things they enjoy.

Because movement matters.
